What is EMDR Therapy?

Trauma has a way of staying with us. Even long after a difficult experience, painful memories can return as anxiety, fear, or physical tension. It can feel like you’re reliving the past instead of living fully in the present.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories in a healthier way. By using bilateral stimulation — such as eye movements, tapping, or sound — EMDR reduces the emotional intensity of traumatic memories and allows new, adaptive beliefs to take root.

Find relief from symptoms such as:

Many people who’ve felt stuck in traditional therapy find that EMDR allows them to move through emotional blocks and finally feel relief.

  • PTSD and traumatic memories

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Depression and mood disturbance

  • Grief and loss

  • Relational struggles rooted in past experiences

Healing is possible. EMDR doesn’t erase the past, but it helps you carry your story differently, with greater peace and resilience.

What to Expect

In our sessions, you will be guided safely and gently through the process. EMDR allows the brain and body to complete a natural healing cycle, reducing distress without the need to retell every detail of your trauma.

Many clients notice improvements in how they think, feel, and respond to stress, often after fewer sessions than with traditional talk therapy alone.

Types of EMDR Sessions

  • Individual EMDR Sessions – 55 minutes, $150

  • EMDR Intensives – Half day (3 hours) $450 / Full day (6 hours) $900

I see this work as sacred. My training as an EMDR clinician allows me to provide trauma-informed treatment, while my life experience helps me understand the practical realities clients face. I also incorporate complementary modalities such as breathwork, Internal Family Systems, and Polyvagal-informed therapy to support whole-person healing.
